Everyone Deserves an Opportunity

The best and fastest way out of poverty is through education, yet good schools are few and far between in developing countries, leaving millions of children stuck—without options and without hope. Opportunity International is fighting for these children by providing the financial services and tools for teachers to improve their schools and parents to afford to send their children there. We cannot let another generation miss an opportunity to break free from poverty.

Possibilities For Today

Possibilities for Today

Carmen Julie started the Nueva Esperanza school in Colombia to give children from difficult homes a place to learn, grow and prosper. Her next big step is to use Opportunity tools and training to improve the roof and finish the walls on the classroom so that the kids can keep working even when it rains.

Possibilities For Tomorrow

Possibilities for Tomorrow

When Elvis Aguilar transferred to a private school in Nicaragua, he went from being a self-proclaimed disobedient, disrespectful sixth grader on a path toward dropping out of school to a polite, well spoken, award-winning honors student—all because his grandmother Angela believed in him and in the power of a high quality education.

Possibilities For the Day After

Possibilities for the day after that

As a devoted teacher, Ben Navitcha dreamed of building a school that could serve all the children in his Malawi community — and after 10 years of partnering with Opportunity, he has slowly added building after building so that he can now serve 900 students, year after year!
