Opportunity International Client Nichelle Bobis

Nichelle Bobis lives in Aurora, Philippines, with her husband Aurolio and their five children. Nichelle is a loving mother who wants to provide for all the needs of her children. To support her family, she travels throughout her community providing Manicures, Pedicures, and hand and foot treatments to her neighbors. Despite all her hard work, her income was small and unstable. There was a time when Nichelle was worried she would not be able to support her family’s daily needs or pay her children’s educational costs.
Everything began to change when a friend introduced her to Opportunity International. After joining a trust group, Nichelle received valuable financial training and a loan to purchase additional materials for her business. Nichelle plans to use these additional materials to provide better quality treatments and accept more customers. Nichelle also plans to invest in other businesses, so she can earn additional income and save for her family’s future. She hopes that she can provide the best education for her five children so that they can get a stable job in the future.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do entrepreneurs become Opportunity International loan clients?

Opportunity International conducts interviews with prospective clients to get a better understanding of their situation, so we can construct a loan that’s tailored to their needs and capabilities.

If I help fund a loan, should I expect to be paid back?

When you help to fund a loan, you are making a donation to Opportunity International. When those funds are repaid by the client, the funds remain in the country where the original client’s loan was disbursed, so that it can help fund more loans. Your initial gift continues to have an impact after the first loan is repaid.
