Annet Nazziwa lives in Mbuya, Uganda, is married, and has six children. She and her husband also house and provide for the needs of two orphans in their village. To help support her large family, Annet sells vegetables. However, her business constantly suffered from a lack of capital, and she found herself struggling to provide for her family’s basic necessities as well as her children’s school fees. Annet knew something needed to change, and when Annet’s friends told her about the valuable financial training and loan she could receive from Opportunity International, she knew she had found a solution to her dilemma. With her loan, Annet purchased a wider variety vegetables in bulk. With more produce to sell, Annet attracted new customers and increased her sales. Annet is happy that this business growth has allowed her to comfortably provide for her family’s daily needs. Her dream is to expand her business and to construct a house for her family.
