Anitha Nyiramuteganya lives with her husband and two children in the city of Kimironko, Rwanda. To help support her family financially, Anitha owns and runs a shop selling various groceries and products to her community. However, Anitha’s small business income is not always very consistent because she often runs out of inventory to sell. Anitha wanted to grow her business so that she could become more financially stable but didn’t know where to start. Anitha found the solution she had been looking for when she heard about the loan and financial training she could receive from Opportunity International. A loan would allow Anitha to buy the inventory of her most popular products in bulk so that her shop is always adequately stocked for her customers. It would also allow her to buy a wider variety of groceries, which would attract more customers to her store and greatly increase her weekly sales. She looks forward to using her business profits to continue to grow her business, and also to build a house for her family.
