Opportunity International Client Beatha NYIRAMBARUSHIMANA

Beatha is a hardworking mother of five living in Kimironko, Rwanda. Three of her children are currently in school. to contribute to the family income, Beatha opened a brewery and bar last year. She wanted to grow her business for the benefit of her family, but she needed help getting started. That's when Beatha learned about the programs and services available through Opportunity International. After completing financial literacy training, she received a loan which she used to purchase sorghum in bulk. Sorghum is the main ingredient she needs for making local beverages to sell. by purchasing in bulk, her expenses were more cost-effective and her profit margin grew. Beatha is growing her brewery into a successful business and is pleased to use her profits to help her children go to school, while also saving for the family's future.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do entrepreneurs become Opportunity International loan clients?

Opportunity International conducts interviews with prospective clients to get a better understanding of their situation, so we can construct a loan that’s tailored to their needs and capabilities.

If I help fund a loan, should I expect to be paid back?

When you help to fund a loan, you are making a donation to Opportunity International. When those funds are repaid by the client, the funds remain in the country where the original client’s loan was disbursed, so that it can help fund more loans. Your initial gift continues to have an impact after the first loan is repaid.
