Ana Lucia Blanco works hard to provide for her four-year-old daughter in the city of Cucuta, Colombia. But as a single mother, this is not always easy. She currently works out of her home selling catalog products, which she has done for many years. However, business is rarely consistent because Ana often struggles to res-stock her business due to household expenses. She has been hoping to expand her business so that she can be more financially stable in the future, but she didn't know how to make this a reality. Ana found the solution to her dilemma when she heard about the loan and financial training she could receive from Opportunity International. With her loan, Ana purchased her products in bulk, which enabled her to serve more customers and greatly increase her sales. Thanks to her loan, her business is stabilizing. Now, Ana plans to finally finish her house with concrete, which has been a dream of hers since she built the home. She has also been able to afford a washing machine for her family. Ana is excited to continue growing her business into a community store that is known for its high-quality products. She dreams of using some of her business profits to build a park for the neighborhood children.
